This airline hijacking thriller offers a fast paced, easy Summer read with a few plot twists along the way. On the plus side, the author writes well, and had me turning the pages to find out what happened. However, the plot has enough holes to fly a plane through. Without giving away spoilers, I'll just say that the main character's actions were not believable, and the subplot about her husband was distracting. The hijackers came across as incompetent, the lack of security on the plane was laughable, etc. Overall, I thought that this novel had the potential to be much better. Every character is written at a surface level. So much of the plot is weak and full of holes. Reactions are unrealistic, situations are forced, characters just bleh. And the end .. confiding in an eight year old?...and the bit w scratch off lottery tickets...?
